Point of sale (also called POS or checkout) is the place where a retail transaction is completed. It is the point at which a customer makes a payment to the merchant in exchange for goods or services. It refers to the different types of BTL advertising media.
In the Polish marketing terminology, the term POS is commonly used; however, leading Polish companies use the term POSM to identify products that support sales. In the United States and Russia, also the term POP (Point-of-Purchase) is used.
These materials are divided into hard and soft.
Soft ones include generally all cheap solutions based on paper, cardboard.
Soft ones include coffers, racks - all that are made of plastics, metal, etc.
